- assisting families in an educational capacity with planning home funerals including after-death care of the body; filing of paperwork; and maintaining a respectful and dignified presence throughout the process
- officiating at ceremonies, memorials or life-honoring ceremonies (before a person dies)
- bereavement support
Important Note:
Donna offers educational services to the families. She does not provide any work reserved by law to licensed funeral directors. During a home funeral in the state of Texas, the next of kin acts as the funeral director.
Costs:
Donna offers a free 30-minute telephone consultations. She works with families as the end of life approaches for a loved one, and at the time after death. Educational consultation rates are on a donation basis with a sliding scale of $45-$75. The suggested donation for supporting a family with a simple home funeral is $450.
